There’s something special to me about artwork that can be part of one’s everyday life. Ceramics is special in the way it can bring beauty into otherwise mundane moments; like drinking your morning coffee, or tossing spare change into a dish. That approachability and sort of Everyman quality is what I love so much about pottery. I got my start with clay in high school, and since then have studied ceramics at both Millikin and Bradley Universities for my bachelors’ and masters’ studies respectively. I’ve been teaching at ViaClay since January of 2022, and I’m so glad to be able to share my passion for this art form here while watching my students grow and progress.
