• NEW • AGES 14-18 After-School Class and Open Studio

Led by ViaClay teacher, Carmen, this after-school class for high school-aged students (14 to 18) provides instruction and opportunities for mentorship and growth in our Open Studio environment.

The class meets once a week for six weeks on Thursdays, from 3:45p to 6:15p. Additionally, Monday through Wednesday, enrolled students can work in the Open Studio independently while other classes are in session (3:45p to 6:15p).

Beginners will follow a structured curriculum starting with cylinders, then progressing to shaping vases or bowls, trimming the bottoms of pieces on the wheel, adding handles for mugs, and finally decorating and glazing their creations.

Intermediate students are encouraged to challenge themselves with new projects, drawing inspiration from other artists at ViaClay, online, or from the collection of books and magazines available in the ViaClay library.
